The Generoso Pope Building
The Generoso Pope Foundation building has a rich and varied present and past, serving many purposes since it was erected in the early twentieth century. The cornerstone was laid in 1910, and construction was completed in 1913. Now home to both the Pope Foundation offices, as well as the facilities of the unique Westchester Italian Cultural Center, the Pope Building was originally built as Tuckahoe Village Hall. Clearly this elegant and historic structure possesses a strong and ever-evolving heritage, deeply rooted in the community around it.
