Fall
Eastchester-Tuckahoe Columbus Day Parade and Festival

Location: Depot Square, Tuckahoe
Time: Parade kicks off at 1:00pm; festival begins at 12:00 pm.
Now in its fourth year, the parade and festival held on Columbus Day weekend represents the unity and pride of the community, with the participation of several local organizations. The parade begins at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester and ends at Depot Square in Tuckahoe. The festival in the Square includes musical performances and other traditional Italian entertainment and food. Columbus Day Celebration in New York City

A vibrant, long-standing New York tradition since 1929, the Columbus Day Parade travels north along Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street and now involves over 35,000 marchers and more than one million spectators. The colorful parade, cosponsored by the Generoso Pope Foundation, was founded by the Columbus Citizens Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Generoso Pope in New York City to foster an appreciation of Italian-American heritage and achievement. www.columbuscitizensfd.org
Anthony J. Pope Memorial Dinner

It was Anthony J. Pope’s goal to continue his father’s dream to support those needing financial assistance in order to achieve higher education. The third annual Anthony J. Pope Memorial Scholarship Dinner honors the memory of these visionaries. This by-invitation-only event, sponsored by the Pope Foundation, will begin with a cocktail hour and a silent auction of exclusive gifts. The highlight of the evening will be the ceremony to award the Anthony J. Pope Memorial Scholarship prizes to worthy Westchester County graduating high school seniors, culminating with a top prize of $50,000.
Winter
Winterfest
December 6 & 7 2008

The charming village square provides the perfect setting for this annual celebration of the December holidays. Winterfest is an annual event co-sponsored by the Pope Foundation and the Village of Tuckahoe which offers special seasonal festivities, including a tree lighting, rides, a concert and a visit by Santa and his reindeer. Easter Egg Hunt
